Cuban Cohiba’s in Seattle, Whistler

So I was in Seattle before the Mozilla Summit and had a chance to hang out with Jeff Olds outside of ZigZag and smoke some stogies. 

I was smoking a Cuban Cohiba that Jeff smuggled back from Cuba in his scuba gear, it took weeks (what a badass). And he was smoking my recommended Rocky Patel 1992, which is a very solid smoke. I think he enjoyed his smoke, and so did I.. a nice summer night in Seattle is hard to beat.

The Cuban Cohiba (which I had to buy another one in Whistler, just to remind myself) was a super flavorful cigar. I love Canada because they don’t have this whole.. embargo situation. And I always thought that this whole Cuban cigar thing was like clothing brands, same shirt with a different label. Not that the Cuban was the best smoke I have ever had, I still think that goes to the Padron Anniversary however it was possibly my number 2 of all time.

The cigar had strong flavor, but wasn’t over powering, the after taste was minimal and what was there was enjoyable. Nice thick smoke always makes the experience more enjoyable. The front of the pallet was a bit
